INSARAG external classification - the classification process, whose aim is to restrict "catastrophic tourism" by the international cummunity (ie to prevent the unprepared and poorly equipped rescue teams to intervene in the affected areas). The USAR team classification process also follows the adoption of the goals of the UN General Assembly Resolution 57/150. On the base of succesful classification processes a database of classified USAR teams has been created and it is used for creating a list of initial offers of assistance to the affected country.
Classification process IEC is based on a voluntary basis and the number of teams have been continuing rising.
USAR´s team management, which request for registration, has to organize exercise. In this exercise the ability of the team is tested at different stages according to the INSARAG Guidelines standarts.
reClassification exercise of the Czech USAR team was held from 17 to 19 June 2015. Heavy USAR team underwent the REclassification process and gained the prestigious certificate and belongs to 29 INSARAG teams in the world.NEXT INSARAG RECLASSIFICATION IS COMING IN MAY 2020
NEXT INSARAG RECLASSIFICATION OF THE CZECH USAR TEAM IS IN MAY 2020
IER CZERT 2015
Purpose of IER was to declare that Czech USAR team is with its organizational, operational, tactical, technical and professional level ready for effective operation on site of emergency as heavy team, HEAVY USAR, according to the INSARAG Guidelines. Classification process of Czech USAR team was in process from 2013 until now and its latest step was reclassification exercise “CZERT IER 2015”. Czech USAR team succesfully passed an INSARAG External Classification Exercise.
For the needs of preparation of the USAR teams the workgroup was formed of representatives of the Ministry of Interior – General Directorate of FRS of the Czech Republic, FRS Prague and FRS Moravian-Silesian region.
