Humanitarian Assistance in 2005

For 2005 the amount of CZK 58 mil. (EUR 2 mil.) had been allocated. Additional 100 mil. CZK (3.5 mil. EUR) were allocated by the Government for aftermath of Tsunami in South East Asia, the Katrina hurricane in USA and earthquake in Pakistan.
For 2006 the amount of CZK 65 mil. (EUR 2.3 mil.) has been allocated


Material humanitarian assistance

South East Asia (tsunami), beginning of the year
– bottled water, disinfectants for cleaning of water, breathing apparatus, teaching aids. The rest of financial sources has been used for humanitarian projects on place.
Sweden (snow storms), January 2005 – Diesel generator sets
Romania I (floods), May 2005 – filter plants
Romania II (floods), July 2005 – Diesel generator sets, food packages, hygiene packages
Bulgaria (floods), June 2005 – floating pumps
Bulgaria II (floods), July 2005 – disinfectants
USA (Katrina Hurricane), September 2005 – blankets, camp-beds, tents
Pakistan (earthquake), October 2005 – medicals, sanitary, blankets, tents, disinfectants for cleaning of water, and humanitarian projects on place.
Serbia and Montenegro (floods), April 2005 – transport expenses and providing of the assistance (for drying machines borrowed by the Man in Need NGO)

Beslan (Russia), South East Asia, Tajikistan, Georgia, Chile, Niger, Libya, Guatemala and Salvador, Pakistan.


Operational/rescue assistance
