Israel 2006

On 20 July 2006 the State of Israel addressed their request for humanitarian assistance in form of fire extinguishing equipment (D- and C-hoses, D-nozzles and protective clothing for firefighters) to several countries incl. the Czech Republic.
Fires occurred during the Israel-Lebanon conflict did Israel out of nearly 1,000 fire hoses. In coordination with the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Czech Republic decided to provide material humanitarian assistance as follows: 600 pieces of C-fire hoses, 700 pieces of D-fire hoses and 50 pieces of combined D-nozzles.
 
This humanitarian assistance was passed on in the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, accompanied by a 8-member unit (6 members of USAR team + two psychologists). Its task was to ensure discharge of material, and technical assistance. The unit was accompanied also by a representative of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who communicated there with representatives of the Czech Embassy in Israel.
