Ukraine and Moldova 2008

The Czech Republic provided humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and Moldova, which were affected by large floods. Each of these countries got financial assistance in total amount of 1 million CZK. And at the request of affected countries this material was transported:
To Ukraine: 6 pumps, 500 inflatable beds (loungers), 240 emergency packages with clothes
To Moldova: 10 pumps. 6 power generators, 500 gumboots
 This humanitarian assistance was ensured by the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Affaires.
 Both units of Ministry of Interior – General Directorate of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic set off on Saturday 2 August 2008 from Tišnov near Brno.
Humanitarian assistance to Moldova was handed over on Sunday 3 August in Chisinau.
Humanitarian assistance to Ukraine was handed over to local authorities on Monday 4 August.
